I work as the Information Technology Specialist in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. I'm fluent in Windows, OS X, Linux, IOS, and Android.
I maintain desktops and laptops in the laboratories and offices of the Department. This includes troubleshooting and repairing failing machines, as well as acquiring new ones as needed. I advise staff, faculty, and students on software and hardware acquisitions, and in making the decision to either replace or upgrade computer equipment. My speciality is in persuading computer software, hardware, and lab instruments of differing eras to cooperate with one another. I'm been known to rescue data from dying devices on occation.
