Physiological effects of extreme environmental exposures
Dr. Elizabeth Damato, PhD, received her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University and holds graduate degrees from University of Pennsylvania and Boston College. She is a clinical scientist with additional training in bench research and neuroscience, developed under the NIH Career Reentry Program, through which she gained expertise in electroencephalography and neuroimaging. Her research interests include the effects of sleep loss, fatigue, and hyperoxia on executive functioning. Prior appointments include Senior Research Physiologist at the Naval Medical Research Unit-Dayton. She is an experienced clinician and maintains licensure as a nurse practitioner.
