Robert M. Carey, M.D., M.A.C.P., Dean Emeritus and Professor of Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, gave the 8th Annual Ulrich Hopfer Lecture on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 4:00 in SOM E-501, hosted by our Chair, Dr. Walter Boron, and Dr. Ulrich Hopfer.
The title of Dr. Carey's lecture was "Defective renal AT2 receptor signaling in hypertension."
Dr. Carey also met with facutly members and Ph.D. students during his visit, and a reception in his honor was held in the Department 5th floor lobby prior to his lecture.
The Department of Physiology and Biophysics hosts the Hopfer lecture each March to honor Professor Emeritus Ulrich Hopfer, M.D., Ph.D.
