Hanna Zhang, a Ph.D. candidate in the lab of Dr. John Kirwan, publicly defended her doctoral dissertation on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in SOM E-501.
The title of Hanna's dissertation is “Growth differentiation factor-15 is a contraction-induced myokine that maintains glucose homeostasis in obesity and type 2 diabetes”.
A reception was held in Dr. Zhang's honor following the defense.
